The Japanese Sidecar – Sugar less light shochu cocktail recipe

Story

A classic cocktail made with Japanese hard liquor, Iichiko Shochu – The Japanese Sidecar.

Iichiko is one of the most well-known Shochu in Japanese.

 

 

Ingredients:

  1. iichiko Shochu
  2. Fresh Lemon Juice
  3. Monkfruit sweetener
  4. Thick slice of lemon (garnish)

Directions

Mixing Time: (prep)2 Minutes|(mix)2 Minutes
  1. Place a cocktail glass in the freezer or put some ice cubes in the glass.
  2. Cut the lemon. Make a lemon wheel(do not cut too thin, the wheel should be thick enough.to hold its shape on the glass)
  3. Add the following in the a shaker
    1. Iichiko (1.75 oz),
    2. freshly squeezed lemon juice(0.5 oz)
    3. Monkfruit Sweater(1 tsb) or 3 drop of liquid Monkfruit Sweater
  4. Take out glass from the freezer or remove ice cubes.
  5. brush cut lemon around the edge of the glass (make the rim wet for sugar)
  6. Tap the wet glass rim into Monkfruit sweater powder to create a sugar ring around the rim.
  7. Pour mixed drink into the cocktail glass
  8. Place a garnish (lemon wheel) on the rim.
  9. Enjoy
